About the Event
The Cursillo retreat includes fifteen talks given by priests and by laypeople. The major emphasis of the weekend is to encourage participants to take what they have learned back into the world, on what is known as the "fourth day." The retreat stresses personal spiritual development.
Cursillo is a 3-day, overnight retreat. Those attending arrive on a Thursday night and stay at Camp Maryomount until Sunday evening. All meals and ammenities are provided by the retreat.
Everyone that makes the retreat is sponsored by someone who has previously attended. Your sponsor has responsibilities before, during, and after your retreat. you sponsor helps you prepare before the weekend, answering any questions you have, and help you prepare (what to expect, explains what the schedule looks like, what to pack, etc). During the weekend, your sponsor drives you to the campsite to get you checked in and set up. Your sponsor will then make sure to be in contact with your family/friends to make sure to help out if anything is needed while you are away. They will continue to pray for you throughout the weekend. Your sponsor will be at the campsite as the retreat finishes and will help you load up and head back home. Once you are back home, your sponsor will maintain contact to support you.

The Cursillo retreat involves spending several hours per day at tables of 5 or more people where social distancing may not be possible. While this is safe per CDC guidelines for vaccinated people, un-vaccinated people are strongly encouraged to understand the conditions and risks involved in choosing to attend the retreat.
We are continuously monitoring the situation with COVID and if it changes, there is a possibility that the retreats may be cancelled.
Prior to the retreat, all applicants will be personally contacted to make sure
they understand the retreat conditions.
